AppleCrate: Apple II-Based Parallel Computer
Wondering if your old Apple II is still good for something? Well this guy put together a collection of 8 Apple IIe boards into something he calls the AppleCrate.
In his paper he describes how he created an parallel processing computer using message queues, to send “work” to the queue and receive “results” from the queue.
