Valve shows off Half-Life 2 for Xbox
1UP.com is featuring an all access pass to Half-Life. Post E3 video shows Half-Life 2 running smooth on the Xbox, not 360, the original Xbox. Valve has said there will be no 360 version. They also reveal that the Xbox version will not support any form of multiplayer. However, the Xbox version will include some of the HDR lighting effects that are not out for the PC yet.
Why no multiplayer? If ID can add co-op to Doom 3 for Xbox, then you would think Valve could cobble something together. Although multiplayer was never Half-Life’s strong suit anyway. Let’s just hope they improved the A.I. of your band of fighters.
